Coffee & The Bridge.

IMG_0372The bridge, not unlike a tree is a common theme for me to take knife shots. It somehow amuses me, say let’s all have a go here. Also because the bridge there is my favorite spot on earth. The smell of salt water & diesel is better than roses. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Different evenings, same summertime fun. Ahh, ZT0350TS, always a bridesmaid, never a Strider. I jest. I love this knife so much, it’s a gem, might de-assist it though, I don’t really think it is necessary. Can work with it for ages and doesn’t bother me, really pressing in too. Love the G10, just rough enough, not unlike the above Emerson CQC-7 (which the pink scales there, my only girly knife concession) scales are just rough enough so if your hands are wet, not slipping, but not tearing up your hands either.

One of my favs. ZT0561

I like this fella. Dark Earth scale, basically the only thing that separates it from the ZT0560 in all it’s various washes. Elmax, first run in with elmax that aside from the Hinderer aspect is what drew me to this knife as a whole. I like it, but found it wore down on wood faster than the brilliant S30V. I do like it, not a problem though, dig Elmax for me it’s up there. This is a handsome piece as well, since mine is a later serial the jimping isn’t as rough as a lot of the early ones you see horror reviews on. But after a good stretch it can be annoying. Can live with it though, in the winter with gloves won’t have much to say there.

Opening this, flipper heaven, it is a dream come true. Satisfying. Smooth as you like. KVT, definitely sold me on it. Mine out the gate had a solid lock up and no blade play, good centering. Very little bad to say on it. Be reaching for it a lot especially come the fall.
